On Friday, October 3, 2008, the U of M's Program in the History of Medicine and the Wangensteen Historical Library of Medicine and Biology will host a lecture and reception by Vanessa Northington Gamble on Striking a Blow at Medical School Segregation: Edith Irby Goes to Medical School.
